I even called myself taking notes, exactly what the instructor wrote down, but when it came time to test, I would still fail. Kessey came and changed the entire game for me. She taught me how to study, she taught me how to prioritize my schedule to study for the material, and even came up with "stories" for OChem 1 and 2 so I can remember the mechanism steps and how to show the steps of the reactions. I probably got on Kessey's nerves lol but I took what she learned and made study groups with peers and classmates. This experience was 100/10. If I knew about KhemWithKess at the very beginning of the semester in organic chemistry, Im pretty sure I would have made an A. I made a B in OChem 1 and 2.

She always took the time to review and go over the material I was really struggling with, no matter how many times we had to go over it and she would come up with new learning and study techniques that worked for me, which is a true skill that not many educators have. I never felt rushed or judged over the fact that I wasn't picking things up fast enough; instead every session with her was so rewarding because I would come out of them with a new sense of understanding for information that had seemed so overwhelming and daunting before that I didn't think I could overcome it. No words can really describe feeling that sense of accomplishment and achieving my academic and educational goals, and I know it would not have been possible without Kessey as my tutor.
